Austin Elementary Mustang Mutual
Mustang Mutual was started in 2006 at Austin Elementary as a joint venture between Las Colinas Federal Credit Union and Austin Elementary. Thanks to the generous support of Laurie O'Neill, Principal of AE, the 4th Grade Teachers and the parent volunteers, the inaugural year was a tremendous success.
 

About the Branch
  • The student-run credit union is open between 7:30 and 7:45 on the specified dates.
  • The minimum deposit amount is $0.25. Mustang Mutual accepts both cash and checks. Checks must be made payable to the student.
  • Your child will be required to complete a deposit slip and will receive a receipt of their deposit.
  • No withdrawals are allowed at the student-run branch. Withdrawals may be made at the Credit Union’s main office in Valley Ranch.
  • These accounts will have no monthly service fees and are eligible to earn dividends on any balance.
  • If your child has at least $500 in their savings account, you may want to consider moving the money into a share certificate account. These accounts earn higher dividends.
  • Quarterly statements will be mailed directly to your home.
