IMPORTANT NOTICE – Courtesy Pay Overdraft Protection Changes

The federal government has issued changes that affect overdraft protection for ATM and one-time debit card purchases. Currently, if an account does not have sufficient funds to cover an ATM or one-time debit transaction, the Credit Union covers the insufficient amount up to your Courtesy Pay limit. However, under the new government regulations, you must agree, or opt-in to our Courtesy Pay Plus program, in order for your ATM and one-time debit card transactions to be paid.  The new regulation is effective as of August 15 for accounts opened prior to July 1, 2010.  For any account opened after July 1, the regulation is effective immediately.

We will continue to offer our Standard Courtesy Pay program for those of you who qualify and do not wish to Opt-In.

With Standard Courtesy Pay we may authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions:

  • Checks and other transactions made using your checking account number
  • ACH Debits
  • Recurring debit card transactions

With our new Courtesy Pay Plus program, we may authorize and pay ATM and one-time debit card purchases.  In order to qualify for Courtesy Pay Plus you must first complete the Opt-In Form
